Die European Poker Awards werden Anfang nächsten Jahres zum ersten Mal in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Global Poker Index präsentiert. Damit hat Marvin Rettenmaier gute Chancen am Ende mit der ‚Spieler des Jahres‘-Auszeichnung dazustehen.
Am 23. Januar 2013 werden im Aviation Club de France zum zwölften Mal die European Poker Awards verliehen. Mit an Board des ‚EPA-Teams‘ sind die Macher des Global Poker Index (GPI). Während in acht der insgesamt neun Kategorien eine Jury entscheidet, wird der Titel ‚Spieler des Jahres‘ anhand der GPI-Wertung vergeben.
Marvin Rettenmaier, der derzeit sowohl bei den GPI 300 als auch bei der GPI PoY Wertung ganz vorne mit dabei ist, hat damit sehr gute Aussichten, am Ende die Trophäe einzuheimsen. Im letzten Jahr ging diese Auszeichnung an Sam Trickett.
