PokerStars testet derzeit eine neue Poker App, welche exklusiv nur für iOS und Android erhältlich sein wird. Mit Duel by PokerStars verbindet man Social Gaming mit Heads-Up No-Limit Hold’em.
Bereits im vergangenen Jahr hat man bei Amaya große Veränderungen bei PokerStars angekündigt. Das Recreational Player Model im Poker Room ist dabei nur ein Teil, um dem Trend der Zeit zu folgen. Noch im Dezember warf man mit Jackpot Poker eine Mobile App auf den Markt, welche ein völlig neues Publikum ansprechen soll.
Heute annoncierte man Duel by PokerStars, eine innovative Poker App, die in einem rundenbasierten Format Heads-Up Spiele ermöglicht. Spiele sind auf zehn beziehungsweise 20 Hände ausgelegt und im Gegensatz zum traditionellen Poker, spielt man hier alle Hände simultan.
Spieler A eröffnet die Hälfte der Hände und Spieler B bekommt eine Meldung, dass der Gegner seine Spielzüge beendet hat. Spieler A muss wiederum warten, bis Spieler B seine Hände eröffnet und die anderen Spielzüge getätigt hat.
Jeder Spieler startet in jeder Hand mit 500 in Chips, wer die meisten Chips am Ende hat, ist der Sieger. Spannend ist sicherlich, dass ein Match eine Dauer von mehreren Tagen haben kann, je nachdem wann die Spieler ihre Spielzüge machen.
Die Social Gaming-Komoponente ist dabei sehr groß, denn durch die Freundesliste und Verknüpfung mit Social Media-Plattformen, spricht man die mobile Generation an. Die Spiele sollen im Playmoney-Format sowie auf ausgewählten Märkten als Echtgeldspiel angeboten werden. Derzeit beschränkt sich der Betatest auf Norwegen.
