Gestern Samstag, den 31. Januar, wurde im Casino Deauville das € 2.200 High Roller Event der PokerStars France Poker Series (FPS) gestartet. 415 Teilnehmer bedeuteten eine neue Höchstbeteiligung und so lagen gleich € 796.800 im Preisgeldtopf.
Zahlreiche Bekannte und Pros waren am Start, darunter auch Bertrand Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov, Matthias de Meulder sowie Jonas Lauck, Stefan Schillhabel, Tobias Wenker, Paul Höfer (der sich später das € 1k Turbo sicherte), Artur Koren, Amir Mozaffarian, Enrico Rudelitz, Marius Pospiech, Dominik Nitsche und viele mehr.
Am ersten Tag wurde das Feld auf 144 Spieler reduziert. Die Führung sicherte sich dabei Cyrille Dupessey. Die meisten Deutschen mussten die Segel streichen, einige konnte aber doch Chips heil durch den Tag bringen. Die beste Ausgangslage von ihnen hat Stefan Schillhabel, der es mit 125.300 auf Rang 32 im Chipcount schaffte. Ebenfalls noch dabei sind Tobias Wenker, Simon Berge und Marius Pospiech. Für sie geht es in Deauville bereits weiter.
Der Preispool wird auf die ersten 55 Plätze aufgeteilt, wobei der Min-Cash € 3.900 einbringt, auf den Sieger warten ansehnliche € 141.000.
