WSOP 2014 Event # 1: Corey Emery führt bei den Casino Employees
Traditionell wurde die World Series of Poker (WSOP) mit dem $500 Casino Employees Event gestartet. Gestern Dienstag, den 27. Mai, fanden sich 876 Mitarbeiter ein und sorgten so für einen Preispool von $394.200. 51 Spieler kamen heil durch den Tag und Corey Emery sicherte sich die Führung.

Ebenso traditionell wie die Eröffnung mit dem Casinoangestellten Event war auch die geringe deutschsprachige Beteiligung bei diesem Turnier. Das ein oder andere bekannte Gesicht wie Zissis Kentoglou von der Spielbank Hamburg, sowie WPT Blogger Lee Davy und Ex-Pokernews Moderatorin Kristy Arnett waren ebenfalls mit von der Partie.
Das Angestellten Event wird über zwei Tage gespielt mit 60 Minuten Levels. So wurden an Tag 1 elf Levels gespielt und in dieser Zeit auch die 90 bezahlten Plätze erreicht. Der Min-Cash brachte $886 ein.
Bis zum Ende des Tages blieben nur noch 51 Spieler übrig. Diese haben nun $1.529 sicher. Auf den ersten Sieger der diesjährigen WSOP warten $82.835 und natürlich auch das erste Bracelet. Chipleader beim Restart ist Corey Emery, der es auf 164.900 brachte.
