Während in Europa so gut wie gar nicht mehr Limit gespielt wird, sind die Amis nach wie vor der langsamen Action treu. Event # 13 der World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2022 war das $1.500 Limit Hold’em.
Bei einem Buy-In von $1.500 und der Variante Texas Hold’em gibt es normalerweise massenweise Spieler. Außer es fehlt das kleine „No“ vor dem Limit. Dann sind es nur 522 Starter und der Altersdurchschnitt ist deutlich höher. 522 Teilnehmer wurden aber dennoch verzeichnet und auch viel POY-Jäger wie Daniel Negreanu, Robert Campbell, Anthony Zinno, Shaun Deeb, Brandon Shack-Harris und viele mehr waren mit dabei.
Es gab 25.000 Chips, 15 Levels à 40 Minuten galt es zu absolvieren und trotz limitierter Action wurde noch kräftig aussortiert. 160 Spieler konnten Chips eintüten, die Führung holte sich Kenny Hsiung. Die Hälfte der Spieler wird noch leer ausgehen, denn nur die Top 79 nehmen Geld mit. Als Min-Cash gibt es $2.405, auf den Sieger warten $145.856. Das Feld ist wie immer bei Limit Games von den Amis geprägt, einige Braceletgewinner wie Tom Schneider, Ex Weltmeister Joe McKeehen, Kevin Song oder auch Brandon Shack-Harris sind noch mit dabei, ebenso geht Titelverteidiger Yuval Bronshtein als Shortstack in Tag 2.
