Letzte Nacht erreichte uns die Meldung, dass Layne Flack tot aufgefunden wurde. Der sechsfache Braceletgewinner wurde 52 Jahre alt.
Eine Todesursache ist nicht bekannt, aber die Nachricht von Laynes Tod verbreitete sich schnell. Bei den Amerikaneren zählte er zu den ganz großen Spielern, auch in Europa war er bei vielen bekannt und beliebt. Mehr als $5.000.000 an Preisgeldern hat Layne in seiner Karriere gewonnen, sechs WSOP Bracelets konnte er holen. 1999 gewann er das erste beim $3.000 PLO, 2008 das letzte bei einem $1.500 PLO. Zuletzt war er noch in Las Vegas an den Tischen anzutreffen und natürlich wäre er auch bei der WSOP im Herbst wieder auf Braceletjagd gegangen.
Die Pokerwelt zeigte sich tief getroffen, zahlreiche Pros kondulierten bereits via Twitter. RIP Layne!
