Season XVIII der World Poker Tour geht weit über die US-amerikanischen Grenzen hinaus. In Europa, Australien, natürlich Asien und auch Afrika gibt es Stopps der Main Tour und auch der WPTDeepStacks. Schon morgen gastiert man im Casino Vilamoura zur 888Poker WPTDeepStacks Portugal.
Die europäische WPT hat mit 888poker und partypoker LIVE zwei starke Online-Partner. Nicht für alle Stopps gibt es Online-Satellites, aber für viele. So konnte man sich jetzt auch auf 888poker für die WPTDeepStacks Portugal qualifizieren. Das Main Event hat hier ein Buy-In von € 1.200.
Groß ist die Partnerschaft mit partypoker LIVE, die aus den Stopps in Montreal, Rozvadov, Sochi, Barcelona und natürlich Nottingham Festivals macht. Hier treffen die Championship Events mit WPTDeepStacks und noch WPT500 Events aufeinander und bieten für alle Bankrolls die passenden Turniere. Ende September geht es nach Nottingham, Ende Oktober wieder nach Montreal. Das neue Jahr startet die europäische Championship Tour dann in Sochi, ehe es im Februar ins King’s geht. Der Termin für das WPT Festival Barcelona wird erst bekanntgegeben.
Zusätzlich zu den großen Stopps gibt es die mittlerweile sehr erfolgreiche eigenständige WPTDeepStacks Tour. In Vilamoura geht es morgen los, Mitte September geht es dann bereits nach Marrakech. Im Viage Brüssel stoppt die Tour im November und auch Ende Januar. Mittlerweile auch schon Pflicht ist der Jahresauftakt in Berlin, der 2020 von 10. bis 13. Januar ein € 1.200 WPTDS Main Event mitbringt.
Das Saisonfinale der europäischen WPTDeepstacks findet im April 2020 wieder im Barriere Casino Deauville statt. Die Sieger der einzelnen WPTDS Main Events in Europa erhalten jeweils ein Package für das Finale. Außerdem gibt es natürlich wieder eine Player of the Year Wertung:
1. Platz: €10.000 Passport + Player of the Year Trophy
2. Platz: €3.500 WPT Passport
3. Platz: €1.500 WPT Passport
Die asiatische Tour der WPT ist mit dem Asia Swing verknüpft und bietet eigene Specials. Wie immer erhalten alle Sieger der WPT Championship Events weltweit das $15.000 Tournament of Champions Ticket. Noch ist aber der komplette Turnierplan – vor allem mit den 2020 Terminen – nicht bekannt, das Finale wird aber wahrscheinlich wieder in Las Vegas gespielt werden.
