Mit dieser Entwicklung der Galfond Challenge zwischen Phil Galfond und Brandon Adams war nicht zur rechnen. Nach einer heftigen Twitter-Diskussion wurde die Live-Challenge gestern abgebrochen, ab heute soll es dafür eine Online-Challenge geben.
26,5 der vereinbarten 40 Stunden waren im Resorts World gespielt worden, Phil Galfond hatte sich ein Plus von $16,5k erspielt. In voraussichtlich zwei Sessions wäre die Challenge entschieden worden, doch bevor es gestern in den vierten Tag ging, baten Phil Galfond und Brandon Adams die Twitter-Community um Hilfe.
Es hatte sich ein Streit um die Clock entwickelt. Brandon warf Phil vor, die Zeit auszunutzen, während Phil meinte, deshalb habe man ja die Zeitspannen vereinbart. Nun wurde die Twitter-Community um ihre Meinung gefragt und auch hier gab es zwei Lager.

1) Our clocks are 15s pre and 30s post. I understood it as so that there was no ambiguity about end-game scenarios like this.

Es ging dann in die Richtung, auf Hände statt auf Zeit zu spielen, so wären es noch 280 Hände in der Live-Challenge gewesen. Dann aber kam es zu einer komplett anderen Einigung. Es wird nämlich nicht mehr live, sondern online gespielt. Ab heute treten die beiden zur Online Challenge an, 10.000 HÄnde werden gespielt.
