Ende Juli nutzte Doug Polk die Twitch-Sperre von Daniel Negreanu gekonnt aus, um die Fehde erneut aufleben zu lassen. Nach einigen verbalen Attacken auf Twitter forderte Polk den Kanadier zum Heads-Up Match heraus.
Zuerst reagierte DNegs verhalten, doch es dauerte nicht lange, bis die Zusage kam. Gespielt werden soll NLHE $200/$400 an zwei Online-Tischen simultan. Allerdings wurden die Details nie ausgehandelt, so dass Zweifel aufkamen.

Gestern nahm sich Daniel Negreanu jedoch Zeit, um erneut zu bestätigen, dass gespielt wird: „[…] Das Match findet zu 100% statt. Ich grinde die WSOP auf GGPoker, doch wenn das vorbei ist, handeln wir die Einzelheiten aus“.
