WSOP 2019: eine Serie der Rekorde

Die 50. Auflage der World Series of Poker war das größte Pokerspektakel aller Zeiten. 90 Bracelets und mehr als $293 Millionen an Preisgeldern wurden in sieben Wochen ausgespielt. Dass der Main Event Champion aus Deutschland kommt, war die Sahne auf dem Eis.

Die WSOP 2019 brach zahlreiche Rekorde. 62-mal wurde um mehr als $1 Million gespielt, 23-mal um mehr als $2 Millionen und Zwölfmal sogar um einen Preisgeldtopf von über $5 Millionen.

Das $10.000 Main Event war mit $80,55 Millionen an Preisgeldern das zweitgrößte aller Zeiten. Dazu ging es bei zwei Side Events um mehr als $10 Millionen. Insgesamt wurden $293.183.345 ausgespielt. Auch in Sachen Entries wurde mit 187.298 eine neue Bestmarke aufgestellt. Die Spieler reisten aus über 100 Ländern an.

World Champion Hossein Ensan

Ein Dutzend Turniere hatte mehr als 5.000 Entries. In sieben Turnieren wurden Entry-Rekorde aufgestellt. Auch in Sachen Barcelet-Gewinner gab es einen Rekord. 37 der goldenen Armbänder gingen an Spieler außerhalb der USA. Insgesamt stellten 22 Nationen einen Champion.

Auch für die Poker-Community war es eine erfolgreiche Serie. Ismael Bojang schlug im $1.500 Pot-Limit Omaha zu und Jonas Lauck setzte sich im $1.500 Super Turbo Bounty durch. Das Bracelet von Maximilian Klostermeier geht zwar offiziell nach Dänemark, darf jedoch ebenfalls mitgezählt werden.

Für den perfekten Abschluss sorgte Pokerweltmeister Hossein Ensan. Der 55-Jährige setzte sich in einem grandiosen Finale durch und ging mit $10 Millionen und dem wohl spektakulärsten Bracelet aller Zeiten vom Tisch.

– 1 – largest $10.000 buy-in event in 13 years (Event #73, Main Event, 8.569 entries)
– 1 – Largest $500 buy-in event in history (Event #3, Big 50, 28.371 entries)
– 1 – Largest $400 buy-in event in history (Event 61, Colossus No-Limit Hold’em, 13.109 entries)
